Alderwood Middle School
School Mission
Alderwood Middle School is a public school that serves students in grades 7-8. We strive to support our students to receive the care and guidance needed to grow socially, emotionally, and academically so that they can achieve their full potential. We prioritize our efforts and resources on strategies that center around culturally responsive practices to recognize the strengths and support the needs of all of our students.

About our Building
Opened: January 2017, thanks to a voter-approved Capital Construction Bond.
Square footage: 114,400 square feet
We are proud that our school facility is used extensively by our community for meetings, events and youth activities.

Our mission is to advocate for each and every student by providing learning environments that embrace their cultural and linguistic diversity as an asset that will prepare them for success as lifelong learners and responsible world citizens.

One of our strategic goals is to communicate and partner with families and community members so they understand their role in supporting the students in our district.
